Getting Started
Sustifi helps you track and reduce your business carbon footprint. This guide walks you through setup and your first calculation.
1. Create an Account
Join the waitlist at susti.fi/en/join-testers to get early access.
2. Set Up Your Profile
After signing up, enter basic information about your business:
- Plan — Free (personal tracking), Professional (freelancers & small businesses), or Teams (organisations, up to 5 users)
- Location — used to apply the correct electricity emission factors
- Industry — helps pre-fill relevant emission categories
3. Add Your First Expense
Navigate to Transactions in the sidebar and add an expense manually, or import one of the supported document types:
- Bank statements — CSV, Excel, or PDF export from your bank
- Helen invoices & electricity reports — PDF invoice or XLSX hourly usage report from Helen (Finnish electricity provider)
- Shopping reports — GDPR data export CSV or PDF from SOK (S-ryhmä), K-ryhmä, or Lidl; provides item-level emission data
Each transaction gets categorized and turned into a CO₂e number automatically. Some entries will need a quick manual confirmation — we're continuously improving the accuracy. You can recategorize at any time.
4. View Your Dashboard
The dashboard shows your total CO₂e footprint broken down by category. You can filter by date range and compare against previous periods.
5. Explore Recommendations
Once you have transactions with CO₂ estimates for a month, Sustifi can generate personalized recommendations to reduce your footprint.
